Several months ago Mum came home from hospital unable to walk, confused and depressed. She was 90 and up until this point independent. That first evening waiting for her carers she was scared and shaking at the thought of two strangers coming to take her to the bathroom etc. Within minutes of them arriving, they had calmed and reassured her cheerfully, they took care of all her needs with absolute consideration, expertise and kindness. They are still a huge part of my parent’s lives, enabling them to stay in their own home but more than that, they have become friends, always treating Mum and Dad (94) with respect and kindness. My siblings and I rest easy knowing they are in such capable hands. Oice you should be very proud.
